2017 - Strong Young Minds is a 5 yr project which commenced in September 2015 designed to improve the mental health & wellbeing of young people in Herefordshire aged 10 – 24. We focus on early intervention & prevention working with young people once they identify a potential issue which may have an adverse effect on their mental health. Typical issues that we are addressing are anxiety, depression, eating disorders, self-harm, bullying, cyberbullying, relationship breakdown, employability, low self-esteem, body image & bereavement – all of which can have a significant effect on the wellbeing of a young person if not addressed as early as possible & if left unsupported can continue through into adulthood.
